"Roll with the punches." advice from a pastor after a fellow church member got angry with me.
"Let disappointments and problems make you better not bitter." various pastors' sermons through the years. Good advice.
"It does not bither me a bot." A friend used to say this when things should have bothered him a bit!
"What I can do is what I can do and what I can do is enough." From Patricia Sprinkle's book: Women Who Do Too Much.This quote helped me through a time in my life when others thought I should do more than I knew I could do.
"I am still determined to be cheerful and to be happy, in whatever situation I may be; for I have also learned from experience that the greater part of our happiness or misery depends upon our dispositions, and not upon our circumstances." Martha Washington 1790's. Her quote reminds me to accept where I am or whatever situation I am in now and remain at peace with myself.
