HOPE

I am working on a Sunday School lesson this week about hope. Hope is the theme of this series of lessons. I thought about something I could make for the children so they could 'take hope home with them' and perhaps share it with others. Maybe a paper airplane, a bracelet or ... Then I came up with this idea. I don't know what it is called, but I remember having fun with them as a child. As I looked at hope verses in the New Testament, I came across verse below (Romans 15:4) and thought that verse of hope would be perfect for the back side of the do-dad to explain to the children why we study the Bible!

Please feel free to copy the photos to use or the idea and improve it with your own imagination. I also made a list of the New Testament verses that contain the word hope to add to their notebooks we are compiling for the year as take-home 'memory books'. (If you want a copy of the list, contact me and I'll email it to you. bjadams_51 using hotmail) This is besides their weekly take-home papers that we hope they will share with their parents and friends.

Our hope in Jesus is not a hope-so hope as in I hope I get a lot of presents for Christmas, but a know-so hope as in I hope for Christmas, because Christmas is coming! I hope in Jesus because he promised me salvation if I ask and He is coming!

We hope you enjoy the craft and can use it in your class!
